2yr old youngsters feet becoming splayed

My filly has just turned 2, and I have noticed that one of her hooves are splaying out, the farrier came to trim her on the 17th April to trim the sides, he said the toe will be wearing down by the mud hence why the toe not growing much yet! I thought she was a little lame the other day but it turns out that she is a little foot sore on her right foot especially walking over gravel. Will this correct itself as she grows and matures or what do I need to do, help....:-(((

Call the farrier back to look at her if you are worried.

Better now that let it get worse as she gets older.

Have them trimmed every four weeks!

I have a Clydesdale and many people remark on her feet - they are a lovely shape - fronts are beautifully round.

Why? because they are trimmed religiously every four weeks, leave them longer and they start to splay.
