3.5 tonne horse box hire - Somerset

Hi there

I am based in Somerset near Bridgwater, and have been thinking of possibly buying a 3.5 tonne lorry making it available for self drive hire. I myself have struggled in the past to find anyone/company near enough to hire a lorry from. I would be grateful for anyone's comments on whether in your experience this would be a viable and popular business opportunity.
 
I looked into this phoned an insurance broker and insurance for the year would be between £2500 and £3000 a year, not viable for me due to other costs so looking to buy one just for myself, but trying to find an older one in Dorset is like gold dust!
