Hi All, Just working out some numbers. What do you expect to pay to have your 3.5 T box serviced? I've got a trailer at the moment. But no harm in window shopping and having figures ready to discuss with Mr BSL2 hey.? thanks.

I'd also be interested to know what others are paying for their services as I got completely and utterly ripped off by a mechanic this year and so it would be reassuring to know what it could be.

My recent service was just under £600, but told my mechanic to be very thorough as we have only recently bought it and wanted to make sure it was in tip top condition before I put a horse in it (2012 renault master coach build).

Covered all the normal checks and oil changes, a new tyre, a bulb, and a couple of minor parts that were ok but would have needed replacing before its mot.

For its next one I will budget for £500 to be on the safe side, but anticipate it being less.

I am happy if I walk away with change from £450, 2013 chassis. My 2001 chassis was costing me closer to £600-700 per service by the end. Usually for more welding!

I budget about 500 as its annual service is at same time as MOT, done by lovely friend.
Actual service cost is less, around £200 to include oil change, filters Inc air filter, fluid checks, brake check, full safety inspection too. Plus test on top, about £60 I think.
The 'extras' can be anything from brake pads or discs to tyres (did tyres just after last test as had advise on 2) to clutch or wiper blades and anything in between.
This is an 08 Movano with a 2012 coachbuilt box.

I also put aside another £500 for sudden catastrophe issues. This means I have (usually!) some in the pot, such as for replacing the floor last summer.

2005 van conversion was about £3 or 400 from memory, full service, new wiper blades, cam belt change. A set of high quality tyres was £400 though! And gutting the interior was about another £500ish.
