Another 3.5t horsebox question, sorry folks! (there might be a few as my head is spinning with all the research I have been doing)

I know the people at TravelTwo are highly regarded here for helpfulness. Has anyone had one of the new build boxes they do in association with Chapmans, who I can't find anything about? I really like the spec of these, seems to tick all of the boxes in my list of things I would like, especially in the layout of the breastbar partition/separate grooms area with full access door. Don't need fancy paintwork, leather seats, mood lighting etc but do want to make sure it is safe and comfortable for the horse, and easy for me to drive.

Or has anyone got anything with similar layout? Friend has a Bloomfield Legacy SL and I like this layout (though it is not an alternative exit). Have a healthy budget but not enough for a new build Bloomfield/Oakley/Kevin Parkers/Boss and they are rare as hen's teeth second hand.

TIA for any help, PM if easier

Hey. I also researched the issue half to death.

I did, in the end, buy from Travel Two but sorry not a new one. It may have been Chapman - not sure. It's only a slightly different design to the new ones. If you look on current stock and see the white one that was sold in January.

Because I am that anal person !!! I got it thoroughly checked over at home and it was declared perfectly solid and sound.

Payload is a bit rubbish but its realistic.

Don't know if that helps.

I have Travel two/chapman build that is approx 3 years old, I have had it 2. The only problem I have had was a leak on the top of the barn doors which ran into a corner of the floor. It was over winter and I have stopped the leak now.. . The separate grooms area works well, mine has one big door which does take up the floor to open, I think the newer ones have 2 smaller ones. The only pain is the fact that the saddle racks are high up, so ask for low ones!!. There is lots of storage and nothing has broken off yet. I believe the payload is approx 1200 but I only travel one and that is without a partition as she leans and scrabbles with one in.
Polly and her husband are very knowledgable and they always make sure the vehicle is in tip top condition before sale.

My sister had one about 4 years ago from Polly a Chapman and also had problems with leaking. However they did come out in the middle of the night and take back lorry and fix leak! other than that is was a good solid box.

Thanks everyone that is all extremely helpful. Top tip about the saddle racks. And I will remember to get it checked for leaks if I do go with one.

I believe they are not working with Chapman anymore, due to things like the leaks that the others have mentioned above. They are still doing new builds but working with somebody else, I don't know who. I sold a box to them and have to say that if I were looking to buy a new build I would definitely be interested in looking at one of theirs. My impression of them was that they were very thorough and really concerned with safety and knew their stuff. I don't think they'd rip you off either.
