3.5T horsebox insurance advice

We insure ours with seib including breakdown cover. Only had to use breakdown once and they were very efficient. Nice horsebox to collect horse and separate vehicle to recover horse box.
 
Yes Shearwater are very good and their equine breakdown recovery are fabulous, separate horse lorry came out to recover us and the horses. They were very very good.

NFU also good as well, a little bit more pricey but worth it

So does depend on your budget
 
I have had Shearwater and SEIB. I was with SEIB for years, but last time Shearwater beat them on price as my horse is already with them.

This time I got a new lorry, more expensive and I had a ring round and to my surprise NFU was much cheaper than both, so we are now with NFU.

These are the only 3 I would go with, judging by reputation, but I don't mind switching year on year as to which is cheaper as they are all well regarded.

The horse has stayed with Shearwater.
 
Sorry to drag this up again - we are just looking for 3.5t insurance have quotes from SEIB and NFU (almost double SEIB) and was wondering if any one knew whether Shearwater insured 21yo? or any one else they would recommend?
