Would you?

I'm running out of events to try and get a regional Q for this year. I'm very keen to get one this year as I want to step her up to novice next year and I hope she'll take me intermediate, and if she does obviously it's 10 years until I can try again!

She's improving fast every time out and only didn't qualify last weekend because I had some too fast time pens (planning on making use of the stop watch trial at the next couple of runs!)

She has just under a month until her next event as I'm on holiday and I usually try not to go more than once every 2 weeks. She thrives on hard work and has just done 2 8 days apart and went v well the second outing. I suppose my biggest concern is she tends to not eat well for a day after eventing and tends to drop a little weight.

Yes I would.
I'd plan some down time after and if on any of the days you find yourself uncompetitive after the dressage & sj then either run slow on the XC or withdraw

Thanks, good idea re withdrawing, I didn't think of that!

Xc is her strongest phase so she doesn't particularily need to do it if we aren't in the running

If your worried about her loosing weight, then maybe up her feed before the first event so if she does loose some, its not going to bother her too much.

Yes definitely!
Eventing here is run every weekend, with majority of people eventing every weekend. Season is run a bit differently though, the northern season is run March - may and then a break, starting back up again end of June :)

I see no problem with it as long as the horse is fit enough.

My daughter has just done 3 events, 3 weekends running. She now has a gap of 5 weeks until the next event.

I have done 3 in a row then a break before. Equally would be ok to withdraw XC if not in a competitive position and just regroup for the next one so as not to take too much out of her.
