Have CCTV footage and an eye witness but think it's someone who really knows the area as they have taken ponies from stables across my fields then across Northfield Country Park along pavement through New Ash Green to be loaded into a pre- parked large cattle trailer pulled by dark grey/black Range Rover Sport. Problem is getting police involved to view all CCTV. Case was opened Fri 0630 and closed Sat 0700 despite footprints and CCTV footage which they sill haven't viewed.
 
We had an attempted break in of a vehicle last year and the police didn't even visit, just a crime reference and claim on insurance, it was the same when I was burgled about 15 years ago.
 
When my neighbour had his motorbike stolen, he personally went from house to house asking if there was a camera available and would they please save the footage of the bike being taken past the house. Facebook alerts helped him to trace the bike, and he alerted police to all the evidence and went round with a couple of mates to take the bike back. Police did act eventually, as the person who stole it had been recently released from prison for drug offences and had 'form.' Sad state of affairs when theft is treated with a shrug. Hope there is a happy ending to your post.
 
This is not far from me at all 😬 there's another mare been taken from a Thong lane field, which is 2 mins down the road from where I keep my mare.
Thankfully she's on a yard with great security and her stable is right by one of the houses on site but it's so worrying
