Which one would be best for a 14'1 cob both small holed?
30" Haynet or 40"?

30" ones are tiny and a royal PITA to fill.. Get the bigger nets and just don't stuff it full.

Would I be able to fit 2 slices of a square bale in?

Yes, just, but it's a faff and will be a tight squeeze.

I have the 40" red and black Shire's nets and yes they take two slices of big bale hay. As Kallibear says, the smaller ones are a PITA to fill, especially if you're using round bales.
