Whos good for 3rd party - horse needs this as a minimum for a livery yard.

Plus is there any personal insurance I can take out for riding horses which arnt my own? Not as a business but I do ride a few loons!

Your thoughts and advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Become a BHS gold member, costs about £40 a year, and I think covers 3rd party upto £10million!!! I think that also covers you riding other peoples horses aswell.

depends on whether you get paid to ride the loons! BHS gold membership will cover you but if for financial gain will be null and void as will the horses own insurance policy. be careful

No financial gain involved. im looking up BHS gold now but internet slow would they cover my horse for 3rd party liabilty?

I've got rider insurance with Petplan, about £80/year but a lot more extras included than with BHS Gold, like tack cover and insurance for emergency vets fees if you injure a horse, and custodial liability insurance- if the horse dies due to something you've done, the owner will receive a certain amount of money depending on the cover you've got. Just seemed a better deal to me

British Dressage non riding member gives the same cover and costs less. You can buy it online immediately.
