I have had my lovely 3yo 16.3 warmblood for 3 months. Last week I noticed for the first time that he is dragging his toes in walk.
If he’s lit up and excitable he doesn’t, but if he’s just regularly walking around the yard and field he does, very noticeably. It’s the same in both hind feet.
he doesn’t drag them in Trot.
I know this is not a great sign at all, but am unsure where to start.
He is barefoot and unbroken, and only doing very light groundwork training at the moment.
Do I leave him be, to let him grow up and see how things pan out?
Or do I get the vet and start investigating?
He’s not insured.
Any thoughts appreciated!
