Apologies, i know these kind of threads have been done to death but any advice is really appreciated.

Since my last post i started to tweak my lad diet again.. He was currently on A&P Calm&Condition but after some great advice on here found it had more combined sugar/starch than i thought! This would probably explain why he was still ouchy on stony grounds and not much improvment.

SO... this has been my lads diet for the last 3/4 weeks

Alpha A Oil - as he's prone to ulcers
Fast Fibre
Micronised Linseed
Magnesium
Brewers Yeast
Salt

Since the diet tweak he has improved a 100% on different ground and can stride out now without any hobbles.

My farrier came to trim his feet today and mentioned they are looking alot better and said they are alot harder than they was.. Big smiles all around.

Here are some pictures of his feet. Any advise welcomed

Sorry can't offer any advice, but am watching this thread with interest as my boy has now been BF 2 months so I am also new to the BF way, but I did find nic bakers book feet first a godsend.
Good luck with ur journey, your horse is lovely :)

I'd be really happy if my farrier (ex) could trim my horses feet like that!! I do mine myself & have done for years but would be more than happy to leave the odd trim to them if that was the result! I'm no barefoot expert but I think they are looking good.

It's early days but he seems to be growing an even tighter connection.

That he is sound and comfortable is reason to celebrate.

Hooves look nice and the trim looks good.

They look strong enough to cope with whatever work you want to throw at them......:)

If only all HCP met that standard. What advice are you receiving re heels? BTW I love TB feet, they respond so well to appropriate management. And your boy is gorgeous.

Thanks guys.. my farrier is great, ny mum first started to use him when he first started. i was 4 and im 21 now. bonus that hes good with the horses too!

glad we are on the right track. to be honest I've kinda left them to do their own thing and changed the diet and I'm seeing better results now..

Now that he's coming back into work and doing more on different surfaces his feet should start to grow more.. Thank you :-)
