According to Sky News, the area has a "dog problem", lots of youngsters with pitbull type dogs. A year ago someones pet cat was torn apart in the middle of the street.
So would mine actually but when you read the Sky News report, you almost get the feeling that the cat being killed wasnt so much of an accident as just another incident involving dangerous dogs on that street that was allowed to happen.
Liverpool in general has a dog problem. I grew up in Liverpool, I work in the centre and my parents still live here. I will no longer take my parents dog out for walks in the parks here as I have been in too many situations with scallies with big powerful pitbull type dogs running riot. They average about 2x the height and bulk of a staffy and are definately not just big ones. Just driving through the city you see them all over the place. I have nothing against pitbulls btw - just not in the hands of the scalls that seems to own them. Dont know whether this was one yet but it wouldn't surprise me.
Liverpool generally has a dog problem...so do most other large populated areas in the country...what a narrow minded thing to say about the city it gives a very negative image to people on this web site who may of not been to the city.
This dog had been previously been reported to the police..the housing trust who reported the dog at the house was told "this is not a police problem"
