i am so mad that we are due snow again (im south bucks)
it only seems to be when i plan to do something, i know finally have some time off work and want to go and see my parents, but noooo it has to flippin snow
Alison you can have some of ours! Its been snowing for 3/4 of an hour and we already have 2/3 inches.
Even in my 4x4 I wont be able to get anywhere in 2 feet of snow!!!!!!!! So upset!!!!!!!! Luckily people we rent yard off have said they can make sure the horses are fed and have water ect.
Works out how many inches that is, 10cm = 1 hand = 4" = 16"
Ah, there you go then, if you are going to get it, then you may as well get it good.
My forecast tells me to expect ONE CENTIMETRE, FGS is it even worth it?
All this snow you are having is going to be SO much fun when it melts before the ground thaws, not.
So then it will be flooding posts (consequences are much worse than a bit of snow, and I hope no-one gets affected) and then it'll be the mud.
this is just going to be the tip of the ice burg isnt it (ha ha!).
I asked by OH back in Nov if we should invest in some snow chains and he told me not to be ridiculous! Hmmm....

Can you not get winter tyres? Easier than all that faffing about with snow chains, good for any kind of winter conditions and reduces wear on regular tyres by half! If you can, invest in a set, they make it all a lot safer, everyone with any sense changes over here.
Hmm, still trying to snow, just watched my black cat sneak across the garden trying to be invisible, snow is still only hock deep on him. The birds just flew up into the trees and I swear they are hurling abuse at him
Crazy isn't it....I work in Fareham - I left the office at 5.30 as looking at all the traffic piling back from the M27 and all the thick snow flakes I thought I better get going. So laiden with work so that I can't scive tomorrow...I joined the que, got on the M'way to go West bound...and I was so glad I wasn't going East. J9 - J7 was a bit of a pain then the snow just disappeared...so far the New Forest has been saved!
I'm about to go and hay my boy in a bit tho, so I would expect it to start working it's way over. Going to hope it snows enough so I don't have to sit for 2-3 hrs each way on the M27 and just stay close to my horses and work from home for the next few days!
Snow chains......shame we left them at the house in France *crys*
Have just WALKED the half mile to get to chuck out more hay for the field guys and its up past my ankles. Thats about 10 cm already and its only been going 3/4 of an hour.
Dorset guys BRACE YOURSELVES!!!!
