?????????????????

Crazy what a super little pony to not p@ss off specially the way she is hanging off it's mouth :(
Don't know how to do links but did anyone see the 3 ur old riding grey pony it comes up on related videos to the posted here. Now I surely don't know what to think about that one :(

I think her other video is worrying where she seems to think it is a clever trick to jump after removing her body protector and hat, she hits her pony with a plastic bag in that video too, so I assume it is the only way she can get him forwards over the fence.

That grey pony is a saint, I just don't know what goes through peoples minds sometimes, how she didn't get her foot stuck in those stupidly long reins I don't know

Trainers off no support to the foot or ankle, if the pony stood on her she probably break her toe. The lack of ability is shocking, where is the adult supervision telling the girl, hitting a pony with a bag and stick isnt the best idea!

Tragedy. Then she might "learn her lesson".

Or not, I've been trodden on many times in trainers and not broken a toe that way yet... And of course, she's not handling the horse in the video - maybe she changes into steel toe capped boots the moment she dismounts :p

Think its the one laughing holding the camera

Actually I am very familiar with these people via youtube, and they seem like very good riders who just have fun with there ponies... have you ever heard of dont judge a book by its cover... well this is exactly what you are doing here

You see a mistake an error in riding which they feel brave enough to post and then automatically think 'poor pony', when it actual fact that pony is well looked after and having fun with its rider.
The bag on the whip was designed for them to bombproof there horse so it is no longer afraid of bags... maybe slightly flawed logic but the horses are not freaked out about it... and its not the only way they get there ponies to jump... if you care check out another of there videos :

Also, to the person about the 3 year old on the pony... the owner of the grey is called Viky Kocourková, and she is one of the best horsewoman I have ever seen... she trained the grey herself and some of the things she now does with her new horse Lion is just incredible :D
If anyone actually cares then watch this:

P.S how old are you guys to be trawlling through youtube videos and then ripping into a teenagers video... :O

Whether or not the pony is cared for well wasn’t even in discussion, what was however was the fact that the pony if being hit with a broom type object and a plastic bag! If you say the pony jumps without having to use such a creation, then why don’t they do this all the time?! To me it looks more like a silly circus act. I can see some logic in trying to 'bombproof' a child’s pony, but the mere fact they are animals means their not bombproof, but well trained. And if what you say is true then i would expect appropriate clothing and to be worn, shoes, long riding trousers, back protector etc. I see in the other video you posted shes wearing spurs aswell.

I have no probs with any of these vids. A young girl having a complete and utter laugh with her pony, who she obv has a great connection with...and those that say she is hanging off the pony's mouth...not really, she is trying not to fall and EVERYONE does that. A baby girl, under supervision, playing with a pony who is obviously incredibly well trained....where is the problem?

Looks just like the kind of fun we used to get up to as kids during the long summer holidays - good on them - oh to be that young and fearless again.

Oh to spend hours and hours torturing our ponies by grooming them to within an inch of their lives, riding them until they were on their knees (but no lami in sight) and getting so hungry we ate the horse feed like some kind of strange new muesli ....

Ah, the good old days.

Well said. We've all done things that aren't ideal when trying to hang on rather than fall off - it's not like she's hanging off her mouth the rest of the time.

The logic, I believe, behind the plastic bag affair is that the rustling and innate spookiness etc will encourage the horse to move forwards, thus avoiding having to use more force (a tickle with the bag rather than a smack with a normal whip). I've tried it myself on a friend's horse with whom the owner was at the end of their tether. It didn't work for her, but it's difficult to judge the effectiveness with this horse from a clip which was clearly an all round error. I wouldn't necessarily dismiss using something like that on my own horses, should I need to. (Currently they're all very off the leg so no need :D)

It may be ill-advised to ride in shorts / trainers (they have endurance stirrups tbf) etc - but is that really anyone's problem but their own?

Looking at her other vids, I wish I was that fearless and had that much natural balance - jumping sidesaddle on a normal saddle - wow!!

Might look stupid to some, but she's a kid and she is having fun with an obviously well looked after and healthy, happy pony :)

Exactly this ^^^

Have to say when I watched the vid I did think the same as some of the negative comments that have been pointed out but in the back of my mind was, I really wasn't that different when I was that age and my childhood pony is still going strong.
