Hello
Can anyone recommend a make / model of 4x4 that had a kerb weight of less than 2100 and is capable of towing 1600 ?
Im hoping to tow without doing my test but by current freelanders kerb weight is too high (2550) so I need to look at changing vehicles

There are lots of similar threads on here if you do a search, but a good starting point is a Skoda Octavia 4x4 estate car, preferably the Scout version. Tow limit 2000kg.

I have one, and it's excellent. Well geared and great at towing.

It's also a good general/motorway car. I've recently done a 400 mile non towing motorway/dual carriageway trip keeping up to the speed limit with just one stop, and it returned 55mpg.

Sorry to jump on but is yours the 1.6 or 2litre version?
