4yo dressage mare video update

Change it to "opinions - full stop" and "Like".

I've not watched the video but having seen the pictures on recent threads about 4yrs olds, amongst others, with people applauding horses that were not correct or "OTB", flexed at 3rd vertebrae, BTV, not engaged and working in false outlines, too weak to be doing what was asked of them or to work "properly" (hence false, btv outlines) I'm just wondering how the "HHO CR Massive" decide who to critise and who to let slip through the net?

It's one thing if CC, comments or advice is asked for and a totally different thing if it's not. If it's that hideous that you feel you *must* say something would a PM voicing these concerns not be more appropriate?

I do wonder why some posters on here continue to post given the stick they appear to get for no apparent reason.

Well said! Tinks81 will be fine, she is incredibly competent and experienced and always does the best for her horses, but I agree that this general tendency of the HHO attack is a bit worrying.

Critiquing a horse that has been in ridden work for two weeks is pointless anyway.

Personally, I don't give a hoot where my horses heads are at that age or what they are like in the contact. They are only at the very beginning of learning.

I was very careful not to say anything at all negative about the rider. I know how these posts can turn! However, there are lots of people up there saying it is fantastic and I agree with Cortez that certain things aren't. If it was my horse I would honestly rather get a balanced opinion, but maybe I'm in the minority!

'general tendency of the HHO attack'... really? I see two (slightly?) dissenting voices and a huge amount of positivity, and a lot of absolutely glowing comments.

to be honest i never asked for opinions/comments just after the last vid when she was being broken people had asked me to update so i have !!

It is an open forum though so you have to expect it if you post video/photo i guess

It is good to get other opinions too and i do think things can be taken to heart when reading posts sometimes or come across agressive when they were not meant to be !!

though please everyone remember she has only been back in work 2 weeks

Ditto this, I meant what I said in a constructive way. :)
