Hello,

I would like to buy D a new loose ring french link as his is too big but think a 5" would be too small in a loose ring (he is a 5" in a full cheek).

I will eventually buy a neue schule one but want to buy a few bits to play with at the moment so can not afford one!

Anyone know which brands to them in 1/4 sizes and where i can get them?

Does not of your tack shops do a bit hire service? then you wouldn't have to buy untill you know what your want?

No they don't unfortunatly.
I probably was not clear -the french link bit above is fine for my flatwork (i just want a smaller one).
But im currently testing a few someone has leant me for xc (need to find one that suits). So basically i am just trying to save myself a bit of money as i know at some point or other i will be buying one or two more.

Im sure there is one brand that makes them in 1/4 sizes but can not remember who!

Shall look at the Jeffries- thank you

Neue Schule do quarter inch sizes. They'll often come up on ebay as well so that helps with the cost. FWIW i would try a neue schule with a lozenge before a french link.

As above i am happy with the french link at the moment - i have just sold my neue schule as this was also too big. Not sure now whether to just buy a neue schule again and save the hassle. Thing is i do find it quite handy to just swap his bits round sometimes even if they are quite similar as it stops him getting set with them.
