5"6 rider on a 13h3 pony....results *pics*

Honestly, i do think you look too big, but this could be the saddle playing a part. I would be inclined to go up to a 14.2hh.

I am hoping the new saddle will fix my posture a bit. I look like I am about to slide off! Its a bit uncomfortable on the ol' butt too :D I don't think I look ridiculous though ;)
 
I really don't think you leg looks too long on him and he is well made boy. I do agree that the saddle looks too small. I think as long as you are BOTH having fun and the pony is comfortable carrying you, then it doesn't matter. I used to ride my daughter's 12.2 exmoor x and I'm five' 6" and quite long in the leg. But she was a real tank of a pony who happily carried me all over the country side. She was too strong for the kids to hack on their own and it meant that she got a break from the school and the kids didn't have to worry she was bored. She gave me a lot of confidence back and I will treasure her memory. If you think this guy will do the same for you, then for it. Looks are not everything - and we don't all want to compete!
