5 Horses abandoned on common!

My dad is the leader of our towns council. 2 months ago he received an email to say 4 Horses had been left on the common. He arranged for Ada Cole rescue stables to collect them. None of the Horses were chipped. Over the weekend my dad has recieved another email to say another 5 Horses have been left! They have been scanned and the owners found, the Horses are from Enfield so over half hour drive from us. Owner is being fined! They said they couldn't afford to keep them anymore so just put them on the common. The Horses were rounded up and taken to Ada Cole rescue centre. One was so shaken up it needed sedation, which was charged to the owner. Poor Horses :(
 
TBH Id be more shocked at a post that said 'Common without any dumped/fly grazed horses on it'.....such is the state of things.....

Good news these have found a rescue place :-))
 
Theres quite a few Horses on it already. They are all chipped and have to be registered with the council. They also have to be tethered over the age of 2. I don't think the council actually send someone round to check this though!
