5 inches of snow so far....

Thankfully absolutely none!:) Had a few flurries yesterday afternoon and then it turned to rain. I'm in the southwest and luckily we have missed it. It's not even frozen out there this morning either.

We've got several inches just a few miles South of Banbury! And we were apparantely the coldest area of the country last night according to the Met Office!

Anyone know what the snow's like towards Chipping Norton/Moreton-on-Marsh? Trying to work out whether I'll be able to ride later today but not sure if the back roads will be passable!
 
We have a few inches here in east Hampshire. Main roads fine but the more remote country lanes are impassable without 4x4. Luckily I have one or I would be stranded as I live up a track in the woods! :D
I don't really mind. My horse can have a few days off and hopefully it should be gone soon. It's the ice I hate more than the snow!
 
Nottingham - we have about 4 inches here... came so quickly last night!!!! I was in town with my sister, went into a shop, 5 minutes later came out to a white city centre!!! it was crazy!!! :eek:

me and my family then thought it was a good idea to get a taxi to a restaurant about 20minutes away... needles to say we had to abandon the taxi about 20minutes later.... having travelled about 100yards up the main road...!!!! main roads were gridlocked with standstill vehicles getting stuck/skidding!! absolute nightmare!!


luckily there doesn't seem to be anymore forecast - so hopefully it wont stick around toooo long, and we can all get back on our horses asap!! :D
 
Nothing in my part of Southampton!

Very quietly laughing at poor Al- Reg had all winter off, comes and gets clipped and everything promptly freezes and then it snows!
 
1 or 2cm here in North Hampshire.. All the main roads are clear, side roads and country lanes by the yard are slushy and a bit slippy. I managed to ride yesterday afternoon (it started snowing while I was out!) but will have to leave it for today I think.

Just spoken to said sister and she's loving the snow- apparently, as long as it goes by Wednesday she's happy and Reg can just chill in the field :D I suppose, having had 3 months off and no plans to get out before late March, another week won't hurt anyone!

This has happened to me the last two years, new clip, then a month off with snow!
 
About 15-20cms here in essex, snowed solidly from about half six last night well into the early hours. Everywhere for miles around is white!
