I have been saving for ageees, and can now finally afford one, but dilemma - which one to go for? I always thought i'd go for devacoux but the jefferies one matches my xc colours and I think looks nicer? What do you reckon? And how do they fit, where is the best place to get them from at a good price?
Thankies

Nooooooo! not another one with a 5 point breast plate!!! Honestly, and people have a go at showjumpers for being fashion victims!!!

Haha - I'm not afraid to admit it. I am a fashion victim. But they're so hot xD Jeffries it is then, and ebay, but it will have to be buy it now, or the suspense will kill me!

Well, I'll know how to spot you lot then won't I?

You'll see me in all the unfashionable black tack at the other end getting a poor dressage score (evidently to do with my lack of fashion - nothing to do with the fact that I am rubbish

) without a square white dressage saddle cloth - horror of horrors!

Haha stencilface

My horse does need his breastplate, and i'm sick of mine, which has stretched, sort of hanging there limply. I thought it was about time we got ourselves a nice shiny new breastplate as a reward, because mine was £20 and is now three years old!

:D

I know!! plus I wear a COLOURED saddlecloth for the SJ - shock horror - I know I should be strung up! Also I don't have a dressage saddle (yet!) so also do the dressage in my Albion jumping one (so maybe I'll blame that for the appalling marks?!

)

*slinks back to her BSJA roots......*

Omg stencilface, me too, me too! I don't even have a jumping saddle though so the lad goes everywhere in an albion gp, and I don't even have a leather girth! I blame the albion for my dressage marks too, as it has massive knee rolls! And yes, BSJA roots too

You know what - thats quite scary, especially as your horse looks very similar to mine too, although obviously mine is prettier!

Definitely go for a Jeffries one, they are lovely. You're East Mids based aren't you??

I got mine from Retford Saddlery at Darlton, i got mine for a really good price, better than a lot of online shops. They had some in stock the other day when i popped in!!

The Jeffries ones do look and feel VERY nice. I keep trying to justify buying myself one, but I haven't quite got there yet, although my current one is stretched and skanky

Actually it looks like I should keep the one I have to give me an excuse for any crapness in my competing

See I have the dressage saddle and the white dressage square and the Albion Kontrol SJ saddle (and white numnah) but can still have some alarmingly s***e moments!!!!

What's a girl to do?

I bought mine from salamo (they have a website) and its generally used every day and is very very tough. paid about 70 quid

Either that or ride away do the jeffries one for 113 which i think is the best price i have seen them at - its not in the catalogue so you will need to give them a ring.

Personally i wouldnt bother paying the extra for the devoucoux one unless your really bothered about the name - the copies are good enough
