5 year Owniversary - Then & Now pics

I'm not a huge poster but as my horse and I reached a bit of a milestone at the weekend I thought I'd splash out and post with some pics.

It was 5 years to the day that I first took photos of her, so I had a bit of a commemorative photo session on Saturday (21/4).

Not exactly matchy matchy but best i got,
Saddle pad was a gift from a friend for my birthday a few years back, tendon & fetlock boots were a christmas present from another friend...what can i say, , they know i'm a bit of a fan of purple!

Her passport says ISH, but she comes from KWPN breeding, her sire is Olympic Lux (by Lux Z) and her dam is a ISH by Into the West (KWPN) - i think...

One and the same, she was fierce scraggly when I bought her, she was going on 3 then...she'll be 8 next month, although officially as of January 1st blah blah blah

Not in the UK I'm afraid, based in Luxembourg in mainland Europe - it is a very nice yard. I've really landed on my feet out here, facilities are 4* and people are lovely, helpful and friendly!
I really lucked out!

Thanks, bless her when she arrived. She had very little handling - just brought in as part of her youngster/broodmare band herd for dosing i think...had to teach her to lead in any case when i got my hands on her - she has been such a character, we've had plenty ups and downs and am sure we'll have many more ahead!

That is one of the newer areas of the yard so still shiny and new - although I have to say that it is very well kept. Everything gets a lick of paint every couple of years - always well maintained where I keep her - I am spoiled rotten!

I have to admit to being a massive purple fan! Also have a LW purple stable rug... posted pics of it in my blog a month or so back if you wanna see - link is in my siggy.
Otherwise can dig out the photo from my photobucket...also recently finally managed to get my hands on a Royal Blue saddle pad in horse size which I'd been looking for for a few months...have recently posted a pic of her in that on my blog also,

Plenty pics on the blog - as well as way too much writing so no worries if you don't fancy reading

Mine is also by Olympic Lux, out of an irish mare There are some pictures on my profile on here. She's rising 5, how old is yours? Mine's a total stress head in the stable, but very genuine to ride.
