6.5 tonne lorries - mpg?

I'm currently thinking possibly buying a Peper Harow 6 or 6.5 tonne lorry - probably between a 'R' to '51' reg, and wondered if anyone could let me know what kind of mpg this size horsebox tends to do.

will depend entirely on the engine size, how well its been maintained, how its driven & how much weight its carrying per trip.

as an example our mondeo does approx 43mpg but once its fully loaded & has the trailer on the back it goes down to 25/28mpg

My 7.5 ton X reg DAF does about 20 I think.

It should be low to mid 20s depending on load and roads, short runs or hilly less, steady motorway driving maybe more,

I used to get 30mpg from my Iveco 65C15.
