I just realised that I brought the spotty pony in off the Forest just over 6 months ago, so I thought I'd share some photos! The first is the day he came in, Feb 14th (yep, I spent Valentine's with my new man ;) ). He was very hairy, covered in lice, had mangy bald patches, cracked hooves, and some sort of infection in his ears, making him unbelievably head-shy.
The second is almost 6 months after the first, about two weeks after our first dressage test. Apart from the spots, I sometimes can't believe its the same pony! (I think the lack of hair makes the most difference!). He's still very head-shy, but we're working on that, but he's so willing (unless scary things are involved) and I'm so proud of where we are now. We've a long way to go, but I think we've started well!
(And you can't really tell, but he is still a little bum high - maybe we'll make 14.1 after all!)

(Sorry if the pics are massive!!)

It was peeing down with rain so we only have one very soggy one from our last dressage! Hopefully this weekend will be nicer and we can get a few decent ones!

He looks great now! I love his spots

Thanks! Spotty ones are the best ;P

He looks fab. I didn't know you got spotty ones, assuming he's from the New Forest?

He's only half New Forest, his sire is an Appy. They had a few Appy crosses over two years, and most of them have blankets; he's the only completely spotty one. He's also a lot more daft than the others, I think the more spots they have the fewer brain cells!
