Ive just realised i havent done an update on my new boy for ages! so here goes apologies if its long we have been up to lots!!!
i say new boy but i guess ive had him 2 and a half months now so not new new but still new!!
quick recap ARNIE is a 6 yr old warmblood by arkan
his flatwork was shall we say non exsistent so we have been working lots on it! with a new instructor and after todays stressage lesson i think me and him are finally starting to get it!!
wooop wooop he has his stressage debut on the 26th of May so im finally starting to get excited!! we have had our ups and downs thou!! his first trip out was to the forest where we had a ball and he was impeccably behaved!!

2nd outing was a local SJ where we had 1 pole down in the 2'6 JO - my fault let him run down to it and we got 4 faults in the 2'9 because i circled him before the wall as he out jumped me on the 2nd part of the double they classed it as a refusal but hey i know it wasnt!
so again sooo happy with him! then we went for a SJ lesson where he was just plain awesome and my instructor actually likes this one!!
she wasnt exactly a fan of my nutty TB!!!!
so after the SJ lesson we went XC schooling where he was a pro and jumped everything!! bit iffy with the water but soon figured out it was fun!!
Then off he went to his first ever HT!!! and guess what..... HE WAS A PRO!!! didnt go clear but the stops were silly and to be fair i was a tad nervous so sort of preferred to let him stop and look then re-approach instead of getting sent into orbit!
so after more stressage lessons we then went to another HT where i ran as a pair with my friend on an old seasoned HT pro just so my guy could learn it was fun (and this course was up to height!!!) well he was yet again a dude and went clear.... even when the seasoned 17 yr old HT pro ran out on a skinny my guy carried on past and popped the fence... one word for him DUDE!!!!!
since then we have just been hacking, schooling and hes been in the pessoa a few times too!!
but i have the next 2 months of competitions planned for him and i can safely say i i CANNOT wait!!!
it hasnt all been plain sailing.... on the day of xc schooling he decided he didnt want to load any more so we did lots of practise and dinner in the lorry so now he just walks back in! we have also had escaping...
..... but other than that HE'S AWESOME!!!!! ohhhhh and i measured him... hes now standing at 17.1!!!!!!
and he also has a new jockey!

just so i dont forget ill add a bit in about my broken TB (freddie). He was diagnosed back in October with torn hind suspensories and sacroillac pain so after 8 weeks box rest and shockwave therapy i decided to chuck him out for the winter as there was no improvement and he had gone clinically depressed
hes been out since December and comes home in a week (after i get back off holiday!) im so so so so so happy with the way he is looking right now
i was worried he would drop weight and not cope but he didnt... he actually put weight on!
heres a before pic...

and heres what he looks like now!!

i cant wait to get home and start some rehab work with him!! providing of course my vet gives the all clear to go ahead after his scan
although im not sure his 48' girth will fit he may have to borrow arnies!!!!
well done if you got this far!!!
