60 Side saddle riders on one hunt

Not sure which is the correct category for this post - but I thought you might enjoy some pics from my local hunt who invited ladies from Ireland, UK, Europe and America to join them side saddle. It was primarily organised by Susan Oakes, who is the lady that recently set the side saddle high jumping record at Aintree and owners in the area provided suitable horses. These pics were captured by excellent photographers Equuspix and provide a mix of stunning shots. As can be seen, the weather unfortunately was atrocious, but everyone seemed to have a fabulous day. I wonder if this is a record amount of side saddlers out on the one day?

Holy cow, my heart was in my mouth for some of those jumping pics! Great photos - thank you for sharing. I have ridden SS twice but no way could I imagine jumping like that!

Thanks so much for those - I read about the meet it in the H & H, but no report/pictures as of yet. I struggle to stay on 'astride' out hunting .....!

These are, without a doubt, the most stunning hunting pictures I have ever seen. Beautiful ladies and horses and the photography is superb!

I know the feeling - I have tried it a couple of time and even popped a fence (maybe 90cms) - but I wouldn't tackle those ditches astride never mind SS

Yes they are FAB photographers aren't they? The FB link also provides a link to their website which has 100s more pics of the day (and other events too).

I was intrigued by the variety of habits, some very beautiful ones.
