6th race at Goodwood horse stopped today (Friday)

Does anyone know what happened to the horse in the 6th race tonight. It stopped about 2 furlongs out and the horse ambulance was there with the screens up? From the colours I could see it was either Pyrrha or Rimth.

It was Pyrrha - the horse was taken to the racecourse vet centre for treatment, according to RP, which is always encouraging.

Pyrrha is a decent mare and should all things go well I expect she will become a broodmare. Same with Memory now as she is a top class filly who refused to race and has been reluctant to go a couple of times now. Just goes to show - if they don't want to race you can't make them.

Sadly this didn't end well - the Racing Post reports today that Pyrrha was PTS due to a deterioration in her condition.

Very sad - she was in foal to New Approach and there's no reason she would not have made a very nice breeding prospect.

Very sad. Vets and owners did their very best for her and gave her every chance.
