7 month old filly in season?

Well I have just had my foal delivered on sunday from the stud. She nows appears to be winking after wee'ing, can she really be having seasons already ?

No one? I had current mare since she was a foal but didn't notice when she started her seasons. Am abit seems abit late to have a season and abit young no? Could this be why my gelding was lunging at her over the fence, he's normally really sedate

My filly was 10 months when she came into season for the first time, and it was a bitterly cold March.

So it's possible then, didn't realise they started so young

Definitely isn't unheard of for fillies to come into season that young.

I have seen very young foals react like this in a stressful situation, if your gelding was lunging at her, that would be very stressful. She will not be in season of that I can assure you.

I've had a 9 mth come in season was even backing up to the gelding. U sure def only 7 mth not a rough guess by breeder.

Agree with this, my new filly raised her tail and was winking when a bunch of heifers were being moved to different fields past her. This was a couple of months ago, she was about 14 months then.

Well first pics I saw of her as a foal were beginning of april so she could be approaching 8 months old. She doesn't seem stressed but I think that seems more likely. Thanks
