I took some photos of my mare today, she is due 24th May and suddenly she's starting to change a lot!

This was her on the 22nd March:

I'm getting very excited but I am a bit nervous as its my first foaling of my own mare and I only have a few questions if thats ok!
She needs her vaccination 1 month before foaling?
If so, when the vet comes should I ask for enema, gloves and a syringe from them? And to put them on standby of course.
Should she be bagging up with 7 weeks to go?

Thank you!

my mare started bagging up 6 weeks ago (due in just over 2 weeks).
yes to vaccination 6 weeks to a month before foaling.
As for an enema !!!! talk to your vet :)

Thanks! Will ask when we get them out in about 2 weeks to give her a jab :) Glad she's meant to be bagging up, wasn't sure if she should have bagged up so suddenly though!

Als bagging up too past couple of weeks she is due 31st may. I have booked her vaccs for 27th april. I am like you not too sure about enema and will ask vet at this point...would not be too happy doing it myself though, think the vet will be called if there is any problem in that department;)

My maiden mare also has 7 weeks to go, due 23rd may.

Here is her udder tonight, at 291 days. It's definately changing.

I'm not worrying too much about enemas etc, as I have to have the vet out post foaling anyway, to check my mare's scar, as she ad to have colic surgery in September, when she was three months in foal, so obviously foaling is a slight risk to her, but theres nothing we can do about it, so I'm not worrying about it!

haras your mare is looking well :D I hope it all goes well for your foaling and the same for you ALS!
I used to think my mare was a barrel on sticks (when her feathers are all trimmed up) but your mare is very fine! What breed is she?

Thanks. I'm really pleased with how she is looking at the moment!

Here she is before she was in foal.... a clue to her breed maybe!

Shes purebred arab, but is crabbet x russian lines so is a bit stockier than a lot of arabs. She is bred to a purebred arab stallion.

My mare is having her vaccines done next week, as my geldings jabs will go overdue if I wait any longer and the vet said it was fine.

Your mare looks well.

I'm not sure if my mare is a maiden but it is interesting to see how mares due all around the same time all look different!

haras she's lovely :) I love how her socks are on her opposite feet!

This was my mare before she was pregnant two years ago, doing her first course as we were told she didn't jump! Turn out that she was actually a little pocket rocket who LOVED it, didn't bat an eyelid at anything.

She looks a bit thin as she'd just come out of the winter :)

lovely arab you have got there haras good luck with foaling and hope your mare continues to keep well

Thank you! She's a bit special to me as she's been through so much. I bought her two years ago as a pretty untouched eight year old. Can't wait to see her baby now!
