There are still a few 7'6 Rambo XL's around, otherwise the Amigo XL's seem pretty good - I've got several of the Rambo's and a new Amigo and they seem to fit really well! Bigger around the chest, and deeper in the body.
Alternatively you could try Fal - they are expensive but come up big. I've got a 7'6 stable rug, which is more like a 7'8 - so its great for layers in the winter!! The turnouts come up big as well.
I tried a few different types before going to horseware but nothing lasted more than a couple of months!!!
Robinsons stock the Amigo XL, and when I last looked long melford saddlery came up with some great prices - worth a look!
What breed is your horse? We've brought our shire x cob a 7'3" turnout rug from the big horse shop. They do 7'6" rugs but they are so well designed for bigger horses that one that size would of drowned him.
Very good service and they do heavyweight ones I think. We just got ours a 100g one as he isn't clipped xxx
the weatherbeeta landa in certain colours comes in 7'6 available at quite a few places. beware though, these rugs come up big anyway, so a 7'3 might surfice. I bought a 7' and it's actually about 9 inches longer than my weatherbeeta 6'9! (work that one out!!?!!)
If Melford Sadddlery is like it used to be I bet they order it direct from the manufacturer - it's really hard to find out from them if things are in stock, and they messed me around a lot in the past with things taking forever to reach me.
I've met the lady who owns the Big Horse shop and she seems great, no personaly experience though.
Does anyone know of a small yard(8/10 boxes) for rent with accomodation in the Surrey area.
For a mother and daughter with 6 horses and possibly 2 liveries.
