8 foot rugs? where?!

One of my clients has a 5yo (yes 5!) 19.2hh (yes 19.2hh

) ID that will take an 8ft rug. She only bought him this summer so needs to find rugs that size!

Where can you get them? can anyone recommend a made to measure service?

The biggest you can buy 'off the shelf' is 7ft6" and that is from EC and only because they get them from the continent.

Customised rugs are your best bet.

But wow, 19.2hh! Impressive!

Thermatex do a made to meaure service as they made my hw cob a short but enourmously wide rug which was heavenly. They do several options and i also believe a turnout type shell with layers. I did look into this around 4yrs ago but I wouldnt think they have changed loads tbh. I went to the factory in wales as i was living there at teh time.

Def need custom made, as has been said they go up to 7ft6 off the peg, and its a struggle to get those.

madwife - I struggled to get 7'3" rugs for my 17'3" Only place I can rely on is equestrian clearance.

Ha and the funny thing is she is only about 5ft 5! But she is v balsy and copes with him fine. She hunts him!
He was advertised as being 18hh so she travelled 2 hours to find he was a wee bit bigger.
And yes he is most definately every mm of 19.2hh

I have a 17.2 and he is tiddly in comparison and i never thought i would say that about Ro!

Yes Lanky, I have had mine from Equestrian Clearance too, I love that site!!

I have also had some off Ebay, and Masta also go up to 7ft 3, but the range is limited.

7'9 ft is the most you can buy from the shops or in catalogs, I have no trouble getting hold of 7'9 rugs, weatherbeta do a few.

My lads rug is 7'9 but its rather small so I need to get a 8ft rug for him before the bad weather gets in, if anyone comes across any please let me know.
