Measured my boy today and he came up as 14.1! Never thought to measure his bum though! (he is bum high) Is this crazy big for his age?
His mum was 16.3 and sire 16.2.
He was his dams first foal if this makes any difference?
I've tried the string test but didn't find it too helpful.
Also read they grow 2 hands from yearling height... Any truth to this?

He's my first and only foal, so just curious.

my 8 month old is 13'2 at the front and 14hh at his butt. Mom is 15'1 and dad was 15'3 but I reckon he'll hit 16hh easily

Could be more - my sister's tb was 14'1 as a yearling and has ended up about 17'2 as a 7 year old (finally stopped growing!!!)

Gulp; Manny is 16.1 at 20 months! Forklift mounting block will be needed I think!!
