This is my son Patrick, 8 at the time, with spirit, who was then unbroken. They have such a great connection, it's amazing!!!!

Wow, he looks great up there, big horse for him, but once they have that connection, they are sorted, eh!!!!
Pa was having lessons, pic is in another post, "older horses/ponies", but told me he wanted to change lesson, as his teacher in school shouts all day every day, why would he want to be shouted at on a sat, so we've changed his lesson so he gets a different teacher, although, he doesnt understand that the teacher that shouts would teach him a whole lot more. It's hard to look at it from a 9 year olds point of view at times.

Being shouted at is no fun!

Kids like Part and Ben have a natural connection with the horses - Link just sticks to him like glue, where Ben is on the yard that is where Link is - nose into whatever Ben is doing.

Yep - refuses to ride the pony, always has! Rides all paces on Link just in that headcollar - and that is cantering along in the woods!

Our pals pee themselves laughing because between the 3 of us, me the biggest is on the smallest cob, and Ben the smallest is on the great big horse!
