There's a lot of rubbish people in this world and I am forever reading horror stories on hear about loans and the like that have gone horribly wrong.

I would just like to point out to other horse owners, like myself, that there are good people still out there.

The lady that comes to ride my horses is fantastic, never more so than in the past week where I have been coping with the sudden and very sad loss of my Dad.

She is free to ride any of my four and I do not ask for payment as it's times like this that are priceless. Between her and my friend that I share the land with they have sorted out the boys and took at least that worry away at what is a truely awful time.

So if you're looking for a sharer then keep going as if you look hard enough there are some diamonds out there.

Hear hear!! I've been very lucky with all my sharers over the years but my current lady is fab, joined me from a riding school as a relative novice and so keen to learn. Always helps around the yard and even comes to shows and grooms for me, she genuinely cares about the welfare of my horse. Big pat on the back for all the decent sharers and loaners!

Sorry for your loss. I've had both lovely sharers and a wonderful loaner wholooks after my oldie like he was her own. You really know who the dicent people are in a crisis.

I had one sharer who'd been twice when I had my son three months early ! She helped my very non horsey parents out and along with the other lovely sharer sorted out my boys. We are now firm friends even though she gave up sharing to start her own family a few years later.

I think good sharers are fab! I shared twice before getting my girl and used to do so much more than was required. Couple of people at ny yard have fantastic sharers, just struggling to find someone reliable and competent to help me but know there will be one out there!

I had a sharer last year for my older horse. She was fab and helped me out so much. Did 3-4 days per week, always came when she said she would, consulted with me, looked after my boy like he was her own (which included telling him off when he was a miserable git LOL!). Horse has now gone away to retire so I no longer need a sharer but I did get a good, close friend out of it. We've been on holiday together twice since the old boy retired last year! :D

Sorry for your loss x

My sharer is also fab. She is a friend of my YO who was moving in as a lodger at the time I brought the horse and kept him where he was. I dont ask her for money, thats not why I have her.
She is an excellent rider, quiet and calm and just what Gizmo needs. 1000% love her :D

She will kill me for this but just for good measure this was at his first clear round jumping last weekend....

We have a wonderful sharer for my husband's horse. Could just do with another one for my horse now, I seem to get all the weird ones for her!
