Some may recall my posts looking for an emergency companion for my mare after I was dumped on from a great height by my ex fiddling groom.

The companion Taylor a lovely retired riding school schoolmaster arrived this morning and they are rolling and farting over the tape to each other so all looks good for bonding:)

I just wanted to personally thank all those who took the time and trouble to post with a suggestion and to those who Pm'd me with offers. This was such a rally round for a fellow forum member and is truly Horse and Hound at it's best. Thanks once again I will never forget this upside after such a nasty and stressful experience:)

Thanks it's a couple of months until I get sorted as they want a gentle hacking home for him to keep him going he's 21 and I want some shetties for lead rein with my nephew. He looks very sweet. I'm sure the fussing and coming in at night etc will probably help him transition to a new companion home in a few months. He's a good looking lad and my mare is very excited , he is ignoring her and munching away sensible lad:)

Thats great news, I have been checking back in the hope that you had found yours a friend ! Soo nice to hear a happy ending, cant believe your groom put you in that position - she obviously didnt give 2 hoots about the horses (hers or yours) well being.....
