Moved the boys into their summer field last night, and as there is so much grass in there I was a bit worried about Hector and his laminitus (he had it last year we think due to a combination of grass and corrective shoeing, as he has never had it before and was quite poor at the time) so have decided to invest in a greenguard muzzle till the grass has been eaten down a bit, so in the meantime I put a normal grazing muzzle on with the hole cut bigger, and left them to it.
Went to get them this morning and Jerry has been attacking Hector, he has bitten him all over and pulled the tail flap of his rug, now normally Hector would quickly bite him back and put him in his place, but obviously with the muzzle on he cant(he cant kick very well as he has a dodgy pelvis)
They are both fine, but Jerry is becoming a little too sure of himself as Hector is no longer able to tell him who is in charge. I am a little worried that Jerry will become very bossy, as leading him in he already felt more dominant. He is only young and I think he needs Hector to boss him about a bit to keep him sweet
would really appreciate your thoughts on this one
(sorry it is long
