A bit of april fun with my new horsey - *Short Video*

Im starting to worry that paddys stable will be empty when i get to the yard tonight and there will be massive tracks all over the drive from a very posh 16 horse lorry :-O :-O

Although.....on the plus side you may accidently leave one of your posh black horses behind that willingly goes out hacking on its own.........hmmmm..........shall i give you directions LOL!

I think he could go round that course all day long with his eyes closed lol he makes look all so simple bless him, taking it all in his stride :D

Lovely little chappie

Lol he certainly could do it with his eyes shut....he must think who is this numpty on my back...(i hadnt really done much jumping for several years before getting him) as there are lots of poor approaches, legs flapping everywhere etc....he just does everything spot on. Nice approaches, doesnt rush, and will jump anything and everything....fillers, barrels etc.

Yesterday i took him in the school to get a bit of the spring out of his step before trying to hack him alone last night....and i was cantering around and looked around and back to talk to my mum who was waiting to come out with me on her bike and the next thing i knew we were going over a jump....he decided that flatwork was boring and took us over a rather large spread!

My mum was in fits of laughter and paddy looked so pleased with him self!

Jenhunt, i agree......although we havent done much proper schooling yet, we had out first lesson last weds! so all should hopefully improve from now on! But bless him he has a wonderful rythmical approach and is such a sweetie!

I bet you fall off far more graciously and with much more style than most though :p

I doubt that! Here is a pic of me about 3 seconds before I came out the side door, landed on my bum, stuck my hands in the air and shouted 'I'm OK!' very UN-gracefully :D I once also fell off when dismounting, I fell/slipped on my stomach actually over the pony and ended up clinging on to her belly then plopping off :p VERY un graceful as I then proceeded to cry like a maniac, and went to sit in the staff room alone. :o

Here is me riding the Bon-meister, otherwise known as Bon-bon or Evil Bonnie, and my most ugliest jumping face, just for you :)

Ugly Jumping Face 1 Ugly Jumping Face 2

Your laugh of the day :)

He looks fab! Glad that things are going well with him, I'm sure you'll get there with the hacking. Congrats for sticking with him.

JoBo your coloured is stunning, i love that pic of you giving him a hug in the stable!
Fingers crossed we have some fun at some shows this summer!

Swalk....thank you, we are getting there slowly, we had one succesfull hack alone last week, early this week he tried it on again, but yesterday we had another successfull hack alone. And he hasnt thrown any tantrums in the school for a while!
So hopefully he is starting to learn that he cant win his tantrums!! Also i think my seat is getting a heck of a lot stronger lol!
But jumping....now that makes up for the tantrums.....we love our jumping :-D :-D :-D

Lol! the humph noises had my OH in fits! The poor horse must wonder what on earth is going on on top of him!
He manages to sort out his stride really well.....but sometimes i think he is going on a long stride and he pops a short one in and vice versa....hence the noises ;-)....at least Paddy knows what he is doing! he he!

We are going to do some grid work next to really get us working hard! then fingers crossed....summer = showtime :-D

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments!....and for not criticising the riders atrocious riding :-D xx
