I tried a friends saddle on my horse today. It fits him really well and he is not restricted in the shoulder with it, which is great as he has HUGE shoulders! However I am a little saddle sore now. Can anyone recommend any particular brand of seat saver? It's to go on a Silhouette working hunter saddle. I do long hacks so need to be comfortable! If I can get something sorted so I am more comfortable I am going to buy the saddle from her. Thanks

I have a Silhouette and use the Heather Moffat. Comfort of the saddle is fine, but the HM gives extra 'glue' when he forgets he's a 20 year old heavy cob, not a 5 year old TB straight off the track!

Thanks I was looking at the Heather Moffat - to be frank I'm not too bothered about the price as I can't put up with being uncomfortable!

Astridday - do you get hot on that one? I like the idea of the suede from a respect.

It makes sitting on a brick totally bearable, gives me just enough grip without being restrictive, does not give me any sore 'bits' ( unlike the HM!!!) and does not get hot. I hunt in mine as well as hack and it is lovely and unobtrusive and incredibly effective for being so thin.
