A bitless/lunging question ........

After replying to a bitless post just now it reminded me that I have a question to ask you helpful folks ....

What do you use on your horse whilst lunging him/her? I tend to use a Dually headcollar in place of a bridle (as I literally do not have the option to use a bit on my boy) and that way I can attach sidereins to the rings.

Does anyone else do this, or are there any other bitless options when lunging?

I just use a halter, don't use side rein etc but I am a bit of a natural horsemanship lunger most of the time.

if i'm lunging bitless, either dually or lunge cavesson.

I usually lunge in just a headcollar- he works correctly anyway so see no point in putting a bridle on to lunge. I do however lunge ina bridle sometimes but only if I'm schooling after. Very rarely use gadgets unless to address a specific problem x
