Thanks for all your vibes and PM's - they seem to be working.

The vets have just rung to say he is comfortable although the leg is now very swollen but the that is to be expected if you stab yourself with a 20cm metal spike!

They may possibly tap the joint again later depending on his lameness level. The good news is he is not quite as lame as he was yesterday

I think I got a bit excited and started asking when he might come home and was slapped firmly down and told he would not be coming home anytime soon

Got some horrible pictures but will post them when we know he is in the clear as I don't want to tempt fate.

Laura our groom was simply amazing and it was her quick thinking that stopped it esculating any further so my nomination for HHO angel of the week is Laura

I've obviously missed this.

Huge (((Vibes))) for Blitz and well done Laura - you must be very pleased to know your horses are in good hands with her

Thanks everyone, the yard was a very odd place without him last night (quieter and cleaner

I did miss him calling to me though as he is a very talkative chap on the yard

We are visiting him tonight and going to take him a goody bag to keep him occupied.

If I hear anymore I will let you all know.
