A Bramham prep report - why can nothing be simple?

Its a great event, and even better being 5 mins from my house - if you forget anything let me know :)

Thankfully the weather looks like its cooling down a bit, but might still get to 24 on saturday so pack sunscreen. Also might be some thundery weather tomorrow night if you're setting off then x

Thanks for the info SF, I'll be packing for all weathers. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon so I'll pack my sunscreen just in case:)

Gosh, not the best prep for you. You should go and find Sam Dempsey when you're there and swap horrid prep stories. He's had his plans all mucked about as he was pulled up during the dressage phase at Tatts for lameness...despite having been passed by the FEI vet and then checked immediately after being pulled up and confirmed by two vets that his horse was 100% sound and was just a bit tense (big environment). He lost over a thousand pounds and has no appeal against the decision of the ground jury, so he got another three vets to check his horse, all of whom passed him fit, sound and clear to event, so he began the journey back from Ireland to Swindon for a very quick turnaround to leave for Bramham tomorrow morning.

The path to success is never a smooth one...best of luck to you and I hope you have a blast! xx
