I bought a Sabre bridle for about £100 when I got Chex, as his "good" bridle, but I wish I hadn't bothered as it was just a waste of money! I rarely use it so it just sits in the tackroom getting mouldy
I was going to say I have spent over £150 on a bridle - but that's not strictly true, OH coughed up the cash! It was a birthday present for me (I think, or it might have been for Ludo, OH is a big softie when it comes to Ludo!
I bought an albion kb comfort bridle for my mare as her skin is very sensitive and these are very soft. But I got it off ebay secondhand! Still paid a lot for it though!
I dont think I would want to pay more than a hundred as I dont need to. If I was a serious show or dressage rider then perhaps I would.
I do think that with bridles you get what you pay for really. I would never compromise on leather quality, purely for safety reasons.
i think if you find the right bridle for you it doesnt matter if its only £2 its not the cost of it its the quality. i dont think you should pay over £100 for one though ..
I was going to pay £140 for a bridle but tried her in the western version of Dr Cooks bitless and she went fine in it and it was much cheaper at about £80 so oh brought it for me
Ty's got a barnsby which cost £140 - well worth the money. Liked the elevator but was a bit too chunky for Ty's head and i'm not overly liking the crank nosebands....
