I have raised my voice at my dogs when actually doing something bad ie going up the stairs, licking dinner plates, ripping cusion but never hit them a firm no works every time, but if I was to walk in to that Dylan for sure (who I have had since a pup) would give me that reaction.
Sometimes they just know.

Just that he looked uncomfortable and unnerved rather than feigning innocence, which in turn made me a little uncomfortable if that makes sense? My own dog will give a similar reaction if I ask 'What the **** are doing?' in a low, dead voice, and he's never been beaten up either But it's not an expression I particularly like to see on him once the brief point has been made.
Meh, I'm probably just being an arse, and making no sense at the same time. Please accept 'Kitten Waking Up' as an apology
