Hello all, been lurking about for a while but never had any thing to post before!
Not really sure how to start this but here goes.....

I've never had a great deal to do with horses other than a failed riding lesson when i was seventeen, i fell off, leaving me not scared of horses but none to keen to try climbing back aboard one!

Then fifteen years later on wednesday just gone and with the promise of "a nice old cob who's a complete plodder", i found myself on my way to a friends paddock to try not to fall off!

Not only did i not fall off but i felt completely at ease once id been introduced to "Callie" the cob who was so laid back he was almost asleep and found myself thoroughly enjoying the whole experience from start to finish!

So a huge thank you to my friend Kirsty for persuading me that the horses are not all out to get me and to Callie's owner for trusting me with their horse!

Hooray to Callie for being such a good school mistress. and welcome to the forum. I trust the good ride has wet your appetite and that you will have lots more to report back to us. Riding and being with horses is exciting, exspensive, exhausting, scary at times but mostly wonderful.

i like to use udder salve....some say sudocrem but i find that sudocrem get very hot in sunlight, so has a slight "cooking" effect

aloe vera is also very soothing.

Lol you will be popular - horsey male = HHO single female magnet! Hope you enjoy riding the cob - there's nothing like riding out on a fun horse, it's very addictive

Hello Hyperion. I'm glad that you had a good ride.
Are you the son of Gaia or perhaps a remote planet containing the Time Tombs and the Shrike?
