I have been making the most of this beautiful Spring and have been riding pretty much non-stop most days, so haven't been on here a whole lot recently.

Today I took my camera out with me and managed to get some nice photos of my farm and some of my herds who live here. There are some photos of my yearlings; some are still trying to hang onto their winter coats, much to my disappointment, and it isn't through lack of trying, the little guys are thoroughly groomed 3 times a day.

I didn't take photos of every field however the ones I did take photos of may bring back some memories to those of you who have been on HHO for a while.

Okay, first up is little Legacy, our first foal born on my farm. She is out of our pony Cloud whom we brought with us from England, and she is by my lovely APHA boy, Ezzy. Legacy has just turned 1 year old.

Breeze is out of my gorgeous APHA palomino mare, Golden, and once again out of my APHA boy, Ezzy. She is 8 months old now.

I wanted to put this photo in for no other reason than I love the white fluffy clouds at this time of year.

The foals and mares again.

Little Jill, my invaluable mini Arab nanny mare.

Spirit one of my AQHA mares; remember how out of shape and tubby this mare was when we bought her? Well she has dropped a little weight and is starting to muscle up nicely now. She is going to her first showjumping show in 2 weeks.

My ancient old AQHA gelding, Red. Still looking great and is enjoying going out and about this Spring.

My boys field. For any older members, you may recognise Skipper? He is the chestnut who was out of my chunky mare with the beautiful long blonde mane, Dakota. You won't have seen photos of him for a very long time. Romeo, the roan QH, is starting to come along really nicely. I am getting him ready for sale next month. Sureshot, the Appy, is blobbing for the moment; I'm hoping to have him operated on within the next couple of months as his leg is still not right.

And here is my best boy Jet; my gorgeous, perfect AQHA gelding. Still looking amazing and well muscled. He will be working cattle next week so I have been getting him fit and ready for the fun of the Summer.

Ezzy, my lovely APHA; Daddy of my homebred foals.

Recognise this one??

Off back into the house and Spotty Horse wanting to join me, as per usual.

Hope you enjoyed seeing a little snippet of my life, at my home, in my country.

I am not jealous, I am not jealous, I am not jealous - I am as green as the greenest green thing in Green World!

Well, not really, but I think I'd be out riding and not on here if I had your place
laugh.gif

Doesn't Legacy look like Polly! How big will she be?

Lucky, lucky you.

Thank you JtM.
smile.gif

Brighteyes; Legacy does look awfully like Polly doesn't she.
laugh.gif
She is bigger than her Mum now. Cloud is only 12.2hh and Legacy is about 12.3hh right now. I'm expecting her to be around 14hh when fully grown. Her dad, Ezzy is a very full up 15hh. You see my dilemma; come on HHO .... or go out there ..... hmm tough one eh?

Thank you Tabitha and Tobago

. Legacy is a real delight to have around. She is the most naughty, funny, comical, adorable, affectionate and surprisingly well behaved foal around - she really is quite enchanting and every day I get a laugh out of her.

This time of year, my life is heaven. Winter is a different story, Lol!

Lol!! Most of the others could be yours, but unfortunately Ezzy and Jet are not for sale

.

Wouldn't you rather have this baby Quarter Horse? She will be available for sale in 2 years time, so that should give you plenty of time to start saving.

I'm glad you like the photos - they are so sunny and I hoped to brighten up someone's day.

I'm off out again now to enjoy the glorious weather.

I really, really enjoyed seeing those, Tia. Thank you for sharing - your horses all gorgeous and they all look so happy and well cared for.
smile.gif

Just thinking about you last night!
Beautiful photos and fantastic and beautiful horses. Don't care about the other HHO members, I want Breeze
grin.gif

I'll start saving for that little Palomino QH Tia! 2 yrs would suit me just right! How big do you think she'll get?

One day, I want to come and visit you! (and the rest of Canada, of course!)

What a lovely family you have all looking so happy and relaxed - who wouldn't be in a place like that!

Thanks for sharing...I always look at your sig with green eyes - now I have even more to think about!

Hi Tia,

Thankyou. I have been waiting to see your bunch for ages. How well they all look
smile.gif

What a gorgeous day you have there and I see your fields are at the dandelion stage too!
We have blue sky today also. I am hoping Robin might like to stop faffing about and produce this baby of hers very soon, but no good being impatient, it will come when it comes.

I am so green of jealousy that it will take ages before i am back to my normal colouring again...your setup and horses are fantastic
smile.gif
No wonder that you left England for all of that..You are SO lucky !
Yes i understand that you got to work hard but to see all of that you must realise that its all worth it !!!

Awww Tia how lovely - thanks for sharing - your family has expanded sooooo much it's hard to keep up!
grin.gif

It doesn't seem like two minutes ago since you were planning to emigrate and now look at how established your herd is! You must be so pleased!

Gorgeous photos and a lovely place that you live in. About 4 years ago my OH talked about wanting us to emigrate to Canada but I didn't want to! Maybe I should have.

Thoroughly enjoyed looking at your 'life'.

Thank you Ashgrove; which App do you like the best? There are 4 here.
smile.gif

MM; I'm pleased you like them; I know how you love beautiful pictures and I hoped you would enjoy seeing them.

Donkeymad; okay, I'll let you have Breeze
laugh.gif
. Actually I am planning on selling her in a month or so; shall I pop her in an envelope for you?
smile.gif

Sophie; free? Lol!! No!

Harv; Pepseye should mature around 14.3hh; I'm hoping she doesn't go over 15hh; I don't think she will as she is the old-fashioned bloodlines which are like Jet; stocky and short. You must get in touch with me the moment you decide to come on up here! I would LOVE to have you visit.
smile.gif

Maizy; thank you so much. I absolutely love my farm, it really is the most idyllic place in the world for me.
smile.gif

Enfys; I know
blush.gif
. A few people have asked to see updated photos but I haven't been out with my camera for ages. Yes dandelions are everywhere right now - I think they look really pretty
cool.gif
. The horses adore munching on them so I don't think they will be around for too much longer. When is Robin due? I have my fingers crossed for an overo version of Zeus!
laugh.gif

PW; yes moving here wasn't such a struggle, Lol!! I love living here and wouldn't move back to England ever. I like my set-up; it is very laid back and stress-free; it's nothing flash, just a farm, but I think it is a beautiful farm.

Eaglestone; you are a lady after my own heart! I also love looking at how other people live and seeing how their horses live. Nosiness is great.

Astipussy; I thought they looked nice and bright; a refreshing change perhaps for some in grey England, although I have heard it has been quite nice there recently.

Sapphire; the white fencing we are using now is vinyl fencing; stud rail. We do have post and rail in places but we are huge converts to vinyl so all new fencing will be this from now on.

Boxers; you should've moved
wink.gif
. Canada is changing fairly quickly right now; property prices have shot up just in the few years I have lived here. Immigration takes years right now, however I heard they had implimented some new categories to try to speed the process up somewhat.

Allij; rarely does a day go by without me saying "wow!" about this place.
smile.gif

H's Mum; I am really happy with how it has all worked out so well. It was always going to be a bit of a risk and you know in some ways it seems like only yesterday that I was talking you all through my experience of emigrating, but then on the other hand, I find myself nowadays barely able to remember some parts of my life back in England, even though it was very similar to here.

I don't regret for one moment, coming here. It's very much my life now and I can't imagine my life being anything else now.
