What a day, I got the results from the latest of Katies Scopes showing no inflammation or infection, so the first time since May I tacked her up and rode her round the farm for twenty mins with the biggest grin on my face! I now have to get her fitter and increase her lung function, So delighted!

Then a good friends Cob qualified for Hoys! At first attempt! Amazing

Then my best friends mare who has lammie at the moment came down with colic, sadly nothing could be done and she was put to sleep at tea time, im gutted for her she was a lovely mare I looked after her for 14weeks when my friend fractured her leg last winter and she was a sweetheart, never sick or sorry and in all the years she has owned her she has never ever had to have the vet to her other than vaccinations.
It seems so unfair the one and only time she is poorly it ends like this..... I stayed with my friend and her mare until the end and having never experienced this before I was amazed how peaceful it was.
Rip Josie xx

The good bits are great, well done to all.
The sad bit is indeed very sad and RIP pony.

In a way your day just about sums horse keeping and riding in general, VeRy Very high and very very low.

Thanks guys, im numb at the moment. I stopped at the shop on the way home from yard and got a bottle of pepsi and handed it to my oh as i walked in who poured me a Vodka. Just cant believe a day that started out with me being ecstatic ended like this.

oh no, poor wee Josie. That is just a horrible end to what should have been a pretty good day.
How nice that she went being hugged by her mum and her aunty.
That was a well deserved vodka (or 2) you had tonight. xxx
