I walk a poodle, she's nearly 3 years old.
When your walking, if she sees another dog before you see it and get her on the lead, she's off. Bouncing all over dogs wanting them to play. (It rarely happens, I normally see them first)
Or if she gets a scent/sees something, she's off. She killed so many mixie rabbits last year as they're slow.
I normally take just normal, boring dog treats. Which she will come back for IF she feels like it, no distractions.
Today I took cheese. It was fab, everytime I called she rushed back to me. And when I saw 3 spaniels, I put her on lead and for the first time EVER managed to keep her eyes on me!
The only time I lost her, she went down to the canal for a swim and it took a couple minutes to get her back. But thats a huge improvement for her. Lets hope it continues to work
