FFS!

So they're pedigrees bred by someone too clueless to register them - yeah, whatever. Bet their parents were really carefully hip, elbow and eye-scored too - NOT!

Doesn't it just make you want to SCREAM?

I was going to say KC Registration isn't the be all and end all of responsible breeders... however, then I looked at the advert

MM - I can almost guaratee they haven't been elbow scored, as the breeders strike me as not knowing their @rse from their elbow!

Well it wasn't me who raised the elbow and hip score question but no they won't have been, apart from anything else I suspect you have to give KC registration number when you submit, I have certainly never heard of scores being given to unregistered dogs.
Anyone who has had a new puppy will know how much attention they need , particularly in those first few days, can you just imagine introducing a puppy into the chaos of Christmas day. Poor little souls.

They're being viewed early too, aren't they?

The litter we're choosing from was born during the night of 24th/25th October. We're going for a viewing next Saturday...at three weeks old....to pick our puppy.

I thought the first three weeks were "crunch time" and you shouldn't really disturb mum and pups much in that time?

Ours is coming home on the 19th December, which is still somewhat close to Christmas.

However, the children have already been told they won't be able to open presents in the living room this year ...Santa is being asked to deliver to the dining room... and we're not having the family around for Christmas Dinner like we would normally do.

I didn't set out to buy a pup at Christmas. Circumstances dictated that we lost our dog and wanted to replace. I felt I would rather replace a couple of months down the line, not straight away. I wanted to grieve for Jasper first.

Yes they are being viewed early, they will only just have their eyes open. Poor bitch

I think 3 weeks is a good time for new owners to first visit their pups, they are beginning to look like puppies by then not little blobs. Can't wait to see pics of Harvey. Love that the family are banned at Christmas because of the new puppy, sounds very much like our household

The breeder would probably have held on to the pups until after Christmas, but I don't want to miss a week of cuddles.

We have Christmas every year...we can dampen the festivities for this year. I don't mind the family coming for an hour or two in the afternoon so that we've all seen each other, but I don't want Harvey being disturbed or overwhelmed un-necessarily.

I cannot wait to go and view next weekend. I'm ridiculously excited, I really am.
