A dreadful end to a dreadful week; RIP JP

What a fabulous horse, he certainly had an air of greatness about him.

My OH has just looked over my shoulder and said "what a lovely horse".

He sounds like a 'once in a life time' horse. Thanks for sharing his life story with us. Brought tears to my eyes. I have lost 3 ( a horse, a pony and a dog this year) so can feel your pain. You'll remember the good times. My thoughts are with you.
 
He sounds like a brilliant horse and he looks amazing in that picture for such a old man. A real credit to you. It is very sad but at least you know he's not in pain anymore
 
RIP JP :( He looks amazing in that pic for any age horse, let alone a 30yo, a real credit to you. He will be sorely missed no doubt, but what a life he and you all had together :)
 
He sounds & looks like he was a fantastic horse, and a very lucky one to have spent so many years in a loving home. Try to remember him with smiles, he's more than worth them.

He was a lovely looking horse and you did well to get him to the ripe old age of 30.
I know how you feel as I had my 7 year old pts in Dec.

Sorry to hear that he was PTS but he had a really interesting life and ended up in a great home. You did right by him and am sorry for your loss especially when he was such a nice horse, which makes it all seem harder.But he did have a very interesting life. Amazing story.

Obviously much loved and greatly admired, a wonderful old boy has departed, taking a part of your heart with him. His story had me in tears, I am so very sorry for your loss.{{{HUGS}}}, If only all horses could be so well loved.

What a smashing old horse! And what a life he has led! He sounded absolutely brilliant!
I am so sorry to hear he has gone, but he obviously had a great life with you, and such a grand age to reach. What amazing memories you have of him. He looks stunning in that photo, and you should be very proud. I know it hurts to lose these old characters, but treasure all those sweet memories, He'll always be there x
 
What a super story how much he has been through and done such a sad end but you know it was for the best big hugs
 
Only just seen your post (didn't see the previous one), so very sorry to hear about JP.

I'll let my farrier know, he was so pleased to hear about him and share his memorys of him.

You and your father certainly gave him the best life possible.

So sorry to hear about your loss, but JP was obviously one heck of a horse. All credit to you and your family for giving him one heck of a life! 30 years in something to be very proud of.
