Saw this on Faceache and thought it worth repeating 
Once upon a time in a land far far away a lady and her sister decided to set up a fb group full of members of the public they created fake people in that group and lied and pretended to set up a charity to buy horses destined for slaughter at a local horse market. These sisters were called pinkie and perky and their grown up children helped. Pinkie and perky had now idea about horses whatsoever especially of horses at markets who are usually in poor condition with overgrown feet unknown worm burdens maybe infectious skin conditions handling problems vices and various diseases etc etc . Indeed the first time they bought they had no transport or ready stables or fields to put the nine horses they bought in. They relied on the good nature of horse lovers to provide feed, basic information and the hands on hard work it takes to house and covert a garage and garden for theses nine horses. Meanwhile in the house perky was brushing her hair and courting the press to raise yet more money for a charity she no intention of setting up.. Soon papers and press were flocking around saying how wonderful the whole thing was. While the minions were hard at work. Pinkie and perky assured all of vets farriers and knowledgeable people attending. Mares were pregnant with foals at foot in a garage with furniture in one had colic because rescuing is a specialised subject. Pinkie carried on collecting more and more money on the back of peoples kind-heartedness and stopped anyone on her group saying anything she didnt like. She praised those who gave and shamed those who didnt give or couldnt. Because her group was controlled its an ideal place to take advantage.
Pinkie only told what a lovely life these horses now had and put pictures up of straw filled garages. .Pinkie and perky then went back to the sale despite having no more room and raised money from people on her group again and bought eight but a few evil witches had followed once they met p&p they realised something was very wrong you cant keep blindly buying horses with needs. Pinky bought a massive 18 hand horse with visibly bleeding sarcoids who wouldnt fit in a garage. One witch asked were this horse was going and Pinkie wouldnt tell said it was a secret location knowing p£p hadnt any more land the evil witches bought the horse. Soon it came about that 5 horses were literally just bunged into a field that kind elves had provided. You cant just do that horses being horses fences were broken. The elves kindly used there feed and equipment and rang p&p as one pony couldnt walk on its hooves properly and needed a farrier also it had puss filled sores and a skin infection. This was Wednesday and p&p said no one could help till Monday. And there was no money for feed equipment vets and a farrier. At this point in time p&p had 15 horses bought.P&P went mad and kept deleting the elves from her group even though they were just concerned after all a skin infection can be contagious and their horses were in with them. The madness continued as for once they could no longer control what people were seeing. They told lies about the elves and accused others of stealing them when they were only trying to help and indeed take them back to perky.
If the truth got out maybe people would no longer think they were heroic and stop giving them money.
So concerns
Rented property already broken tenancy agreement, so uncertain future for horses.
If not stopped will buy more and make a bad situation worse
Horses estimate 15 in unsuitable housing
No knowledge
No vet
No farrier
No apparent money for feed, welfare etc not to mention tetanus jabs etc if needed
Taking money from public under false pretences
One is a stallion last known to be housed in garden
Several in foal ready to drop still with foals at foot
